Women's Golf Set To Open Spring At USA Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's golf team opens its spring slate on Monday at the 13th Annual USA Women's Invitational in Mobile.
The Blazers will play 36 holes on Monday at the par-72, 6,071-yard Azalea City Golf Club, before closing the tournament with the final 18 on Tuesday.
Participants in the field include Alabama State, UALR, ULM, Memphis, McNeese State, Samford, host South Alabama, Southern Miss, Tennessee Tech and WKU.
The Blazers are coming off action in three tournaments in the fall, where they placed seventh most recently at the Blue Raider Invitational, and carded sixth-place finishes at the Chris Banister Golf Classic and Bearcat Classic.
UAB finished seventh at the USA Women's Invitational in 2014 and will get Monday's action started with an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start. Kayla Wilbourn, Margaret Yeh, Juliana Sebastian, Rebecca Chandler and Holly Robinson will compete for the Blazers, who will be paired with Samford and WKU.
