WAHIAWA, Hawaii. -- UAB sophomore Sydney Snodgrass is in a tie for 8th following an even-par 72 in the opening round of the 14-team Rainbow Wahine Invitational at Leilehua Golf Course.
Snodgrass was solid throughout day in leading the Blazers to a day one team score of 22-over. UAB sits in 12th-place with a score of 310. Ole Miss leads the way with a score of 6-over 294 and is followed by BYU (295), South Dakota State (297), and Sacramento State (299).
Juliana Sebastian avoided the big number all day and was able to salvage a round of 5-over 77 and is currently in a tie for 35th, well within striking distance heading into moving day.
Rebecca Chandler is tied for 51st with a 7-over 79, and Kayla Wilbourn sits in a tie for 76th at 10-over 82. Imy Huxley is 77th with an 83.
Brooklyn Hocker of BYU will have the lead heading into Wednesday's second round after posting an impressive four-under 68, followed by two other players that sit at two-under 70.
Wednesday's round will begin with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. (HST).
