UAB Volleyball Quick Hits: Middle Blockers

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - As the beginning of the season is upon us, it is time to get to know more about the 2014 UAB volleyball team. Head coach Kerry Messersmith will preview each one of the positions in a video series. The video will also include a quick hits section with each of the players from that position group. Today will feature the middle blockers. Check back on UABsports.com for all of the quick hits previews.
UAB opened its season at home with a 2-1 record in the UAB/Samford Tournament. The Blazers will be on the road this weekend at the Residence Inn Challenge hosted by Arizona State. They will play two matches on Friday, Sept. 5 and one on Saturday, Sept. 6. The Green and Gold take on Idaho State at 11 a.m. CT and No. 17 Arizona State at 3 p.m. CT on Friday, then play Iowa at 12 p.m. CT on Saturday.
