Women's Golf Completes First Round At Le Triomphe

BROUSSARD, La. ---- UAB’s women’s golf team is in 17th place at the Le Triomphe Collegiate Invitational following first round action on Sunday.
The Blazers fired a team total 342 on the par-72 course. Louisiana Monroe currently sits in first place after shooting a 298 round as a team.
Senior Caitlin Watts had the Blazers’ top performance on the day with her six-over par, 78 in the first round. She currently sits in a tie for 26th place overall, while teammate Jesse Lawley fired an 86 on the day to put her in a tie for 82nd place.
UAB’s Rebecca Chandler and Margaret Yeh each fired an 89 and are in a tie for 86th place, while Holly Robinson is in 92nd place after firing a 91.
Round 2 will begin at 8 a.m. CT on Monday.
