Student-Athlete Of The Week: Holly Robinson

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior Holly Robinson of the UAB women’s golf team was named the UAB Student-Athlete of the Week, as announced on Monday. The Student-Athlete of the Week recognizes student-athletes who excel on and off their respective fields of competition.
The Sligo, Northern Ireland native is in her fourth and final year with the women’s golf program. She has an overall GPA of 3.21 majoring in art and has been named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll each year at UAB.
Robinson has competed in more than 25 tournaments in her four years as a Blazer and has totaled seven top-25 finishes. She finished tied for 39th to open the fall at the Chris Banister Golf Classic (80-84-81 = 245) and backed that with a 35th place result at the rain-shortened Bearcat Classic (80 = 80) two weeks ago.
Robinson and the Blazers began their third tournament of the fall Monday morning at the Blue Raider Invitational in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The tournament will close Tuesday with the final 18 holes, before UAB caps its fall season next week with the UAB Fall Beach Blast in Gulf Shores, Ala.
