Ryan Prinzing Named C-USA Hitter Of The Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- Ryan Prinzing of the UAB baseball team was named Conference USA Hitter of the Week announced by the league office on Sunday.
Prinzing produced a standout performance over the final week of the regular season, guiding the Blazers to a 3-1 record, including taking two of three on the road at Tulane to advance to the Conference USA Tournament.
The designated hitter produced a .636 batting average for the week, collecting seven hits in 11 at bats, scored four runs and knocked in three. The Oswego, Ill., native also drew seven walks as he reached base safely 14 times over a four-game span.
Prinzing went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored in a must-win Saturday contest in New Orleans, helping the Green and Gold prevail, 6-3. He finished the week with a slugging percentage of .818, on-base percentage of .778 along with three multiple hit performances and reaching base safely in all four games.
