Women's Golf Competes At UC Spring Invite

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB women's golf team travels to Crystal River, Fla. this weekend to compete in the University of Cincinnati Spring Invitational at the Plantation Inn Golf Resort and Spa.
The 16 teams competing in the three-day, 54-hole event include Bradley, Cincinnati, Daytona State, Embry-Riddle, Farleigh Dickinson, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida Southern, North Dakota State, Oakland, Rutgers, University of Tampa, Seminole State, Seton Hall, UAB, University of Texas-Pan Am and Xavier.
In the lineup for the Blazers will be Jaime Ritter, Lindsey Gipson, Holly Robinson, Caitlin Watts and Jessica Rouillard.
Last season at this tournament, the Blazers finished in 14th place with a three-day total of 956. Ritter led UAB with an overall score of 230.
Participants will play 54 holes over three days, with 18 holes being played each day, at the par-72 course totaling 6,054 yards. Play will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET each day.
