I know it has been a while and I have so much to tell you all!! We traveled to Georgia for the Honey Bee Classic. It was a great trip and a lot of fun!! It actually rained out the second day we were supposed to play so we got to have some team bonding at the Georgia Aquarium which was TOO much fun!!! We played the next day and came out 3-1 in the tournament. So overall it was a very good weekend!
The next week we were scheduled to play a doubleheader against Lipscomb but that too got rained out and our doubleheader turned into a dance off that we definitely lost! It was fun though and I must say Lipscomb has some good dancers!
That weekend we flew to Houston who was ranked 25th and yes we SWEPT them and it was such a great experience!! That tournament we also gained a new team member, Blaze. So if you come to games I guarantee you will see him!!
After our fabulous sweep against Houston, we went onto play Murray State as well as Southern Miss who we swept as well, putting us at a 6-0 record in conference.
We then traveled to Orlando to play UCF! It was beautiful warm weather there!! We started off with a loss but made a quick recovery to come back and win the series! Our girls hit AMAZINGLY!! We had at least 9 hits in every game of that series.
This past week we were supposed to play Kennesaw State in Georgia but it was rained out and we plan to make it up! In place of the game we had a team scrimmage that went well and was good for all of us! We have had very productive practices this week to prepare ourselves for this weekend's series against UTEP!!
We play at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. tomorrow and at 1 p.m. on Saturday! Come out to see a game it is always fun and when we get strikeouts you could possibly win a free t-Shirt!!
