BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB women's tennis team will meet North Florida on Sunday at 11 a.m. CT at the Samford Tennis Center.
The Blazers (1-1) last played one week ago when they dropped a 6-1 decision to conference foe UCF in Birmingham. UAB's win came two weeks ago in its spring opener with a 6-0 sweep of Belmont.
UAB senior Evelien Strijker is 2-0 in singles play and accounted for the Blazers' one point in the loss to UCF. The other five UAB players to see singles action this spring are all 1-1.
North Florida (1-0) comes into the weekend at No. 70 in the latest ITA rankings and will play Samford on Saturday before its Sunday contest with UAB. The Ospreys earned a 7-0 sweep of Florida A&M in their lone dual match to this point.
Sunday's match will be the first of two in a row for UAB at the Samford Tennis Center. The Blazers will play crosstown rival Samford there on Wednesday.
