BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The UAB baseball team hosts 23rd-ranked Alabama at Regions Park on Wednesday night with the first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.
The meeting marks the fifth straight year and the sixth in the past seven that the Blazers have hosted a game with the Crimson Tide at the home of the Double-A Birmingham Barons.
Tickets, priced at $10 for adults and $6 for kids (ages 4-17), are available by visiting uabsports.com, by calling (205) 975-UAB1 or at the Regions Park ticket office starting Wednesday at 5 p.m. UAB students will be admitted free with a valid ID.
A portion of the ticket sales from the game, in addition to proceeds from merchandise sales, will be donated to the Thomas Scott Messina Fund at John Carroll Catholic High School. Thomas, who tragically passed away March 21, is the son of UAB Faculty Athletics Representative Frank Messina.
UAB (14-8) has won seven of its past eight games following Tuesday's 16-6 win over Alabama State. The Blazers took two out of three games from Southern Miss last weekend in their first Conference USA series.
Alabama (17-6) snapped a five-game losing skid with a 7-3 home win Tuesday over Jacksonville State. The Crimson Tide has been ranked as high as No. 16 nationally this season and currently stands at No. 23 in the latest USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll.
Wednesday's game with Alabama will air live in the Birmingham area on WJOX-AM 690. Gametracker live stats and All-Access streaming video will also be available online at uabsports.com.
