Lindsay Taylor Named C-USA Golfer Of The Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Junior Lindsay Taylor has been named the Conference USA Golfer of the Week after recording a career-low round of 70 and tying for runner-up honors this past weekend at the Great Smokies Intercollegiate.
Taylor shot a two-under 34 on the front nine, followed by an even-par 36 on the back nine this past Saturday in the opening round at the Waynesville Inn Golf Resort in Waynesville, N.C.
The Soddy Daisy, Tenn. native finished the tournament at 70 after the second and final day of competition was rained out. Taylor's round of 70 is tied for the second lowest round in school history. The UAB record of 68 was set by Brooke Mangan on Oct. 12, 2004.
The weekly league award is the first of Taylor's career.
