BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- A forecast for inclement weather this weekend in Birmingham has forced changes to the schedule for the UAB baseball team's series with Harvard.
Friday's series opener has been moved to Pensacola Junior College in Pensacola, Fla. The game, which was originally scheduled for a 3 p.m. CT start at Young Memorial Field, will now be played at 6:30 p.m. CT in Pensacola. It will immediately follow a game between Pensacola Junior College and Chipola College.
The remainder of the schedule for the series will be determined as the weekend progresses, based upon the weather. If the weather clears up in Birmingham, the teams could return to Young Memorial Field. If the forecast continues to call for heavy rain, they could remain in Pensacola.
UAB and Harvard are currently scheduled to play a doubleheader Saturday at Noon CT and a single game Sunday at Noon CT.
Regardless of location, live stats will be available for each game through Gametracker on www.uabsports.com. All Access live video will not be available for any games not played in Birmingham.
