Blazers Compete At LSU Twilight Meet On Friday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB women's track and field team will compete in its fifth indoor meet of the season on Friday at the LSU Twilight Meet. The event is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at the Maddox Field House in Baton Rouge, La.
The LSU Twilight will be the last meet before the Conference USA Indoor Championships, which begin on February 23 in Houston, Texas.
"After two weeks off from competition, the LSU Twilight meet fits nicely into our preparation for the conference championships next weekend in Houston," said UAB head coach Ray Stanfield. "I will run most of the girls in just one event, which is what we feel is necessary to get them ready."
The meet will kick off at 3 p.m. with the women's weight throw. All of the field events will be held between 3-8 p.m., concluding with the women's high jump at 8 p.m.
The running events will begin with the women's distance medley relay at 6 p.m. and conclude with the final event of the day, the 4x400 meter relay at 9:20 p.m.
