Sunday's UAB-Memphis Match to Air Tuesday on CSTV

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB volleyball team's match versus the Memphis Tigers this past Sunday will air Tuesday night at 7 p.m. on CSTV. Sunday's match showcased one of the greatest rivalries in Conference USA and was a showdown between two of the top setters in Conference USA. The match was the first-ever nationally televised volleyball match in Bartow Arena.
"We can't wait to watch the match tonight," said UAB head coach Kerry Messersmith. "We're excited to see how well we played again. I thought it was a great match for us against a very good team that we have a lot of respect for. I said it on Sunday and I'll say it again, the crowd was fantastic on Sunday and they made us so proud to be a part of UAB."
UAB junior setter Nevena Stefanov stole the spotlight in the meeting of elite setters, finishing with 41 assists and five total blocks in the match to help earn her C-USA Setter of the Week honors.
