Two UAB Volleyball Players Tab All-Tournament Team Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Sophomore outside hitter Ivana Bozic of the UAB volleyball team has been named the Mercer Bear Brawl Tournament MVP and is joined on the all-tournament squad by junior outside hitter Fernanda Domingos.
Bozic, who earned her third all-tournament team recognition in as many tournaments at the Mercer Bear Brawl, averaged 4.91 kills per game at the event. Domingos' selection is her first all-tournament team recognition of the year, which came after posting 41 kills in the team's three matches. UAB went 3-0 at the event, capping off its weekend with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Mercer.
Joining Bozic and Domingos on the all-tournament squad was Mercer's Julie Darty, Nicholls State's Atina Porter and UNC Asheville's Raquel Miotto.
UAB, now 7-3 after winning its last four matches, will be back in action next weekend when it competes in its final regular season tournament of the season at the Sheraton New Orleans Volleyball Classic. First up for the Blazers will be Alcorn State at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
