UAB Track & Field Sends Seven To Mideast Regionals

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB track and field team sends seven athletes in six events to the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships in Knoxville, Tenn., on Friday and Saturday.

The Blazers will be led by Erin Harris who qualified in both the long jump and triple jump. Other UAB athletes competing are Tara Colvin (400 meters), Genoah Collins (800 meters), Whitney Mays (3000-meter steeplechase), Elizabeth Ambrus (5000 meters), Penny Shields (Triple jump) and Deborah Hawkins (Triple jump).
