UAB Takes Down Radford 76-63

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Wen Mukubu scored 16 points and Lawrence Kinnard added 14 to lead UAB to a 76-63 victory over Radford Saturday and give new coach Mike Davis his first victory with the team.
The Blazers (1-1) lost to Washington State 71-60 Friday night in Davis's debut after he had coached the last six seasons at Indiana. Paul Delaney III added 13 points for the Blazers.
Martell McDuffy scored 15 points, Reggie McIntyre 14 points, Chris Oliver 12 and Amir Johnson 10 for the Highlanders (1-1), who lost Friday night to Wisconsin-Milwaukee 72-60 in the first game of the three-day, six-game round robin John Thompson Foundation Classic.
Mukubu sank four 3-pointers and scored 14 points to lead UAB to a 41-28 halftime advantage.
Delaney opened scoring in the second half with a 3-pointer to extend the Blazer's lead to 44-28. The Highlanders never got closer than 12 points the rest of the way.
