- Senior picked up his seventh victory which is tied for third most in C-USA
- Complete game was UAB's first this season and Brown's sixth of his career
- His 18 career victories ranks third on UAB's all-time list
Ryan Huffman- 2-0, 3 G, 7.1 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 7 K's
- Opponents batted just .190 against UAB reliever who saw action in three of the team's four games
- Picked up two victories, improving to a perfect 6-0 out of the bullpen this season
- Struck out seven batters in seven innings
- Improved team-best ERA to 2.05
- Is one of just two pitchers in Conference USA who has five victories along with at least one save
News and Notes:
- With their 10-8 victory at Troy last Wednesday, the Blazers completed a two-game season sweep of the Trojans. UAB also defeated Troy by a score of 5-3 in Birmingham on March 8.
- With nine conference games remaining, the Blazers need just one victory to match last year's league win total. The 2004 UAB squad finished 13-16 in C-USA.
- Freshman centerfielder Clint Toomey batted .429 (6-for-14) last week with four RBI and a team-high six walks. Toomey leads C-USA with a .492 on-base percentage and his 39 walks rank second in the league
