Blazers Travel To Troy For Coach O Invitational

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. --- The UAB track and field team heads to Troy, Ala., for the Coach O Invitational hosted by Troy University on Saturday, April 2 at the Jesse H. Colley Track on the Troy campus.
The Blazers, who are coming off a strong performance at the Clemson Relays, will be running on fresh legs after taking a few days off for spring break before returning to workouts on Wednesday.
"This event gives us a chance to look at some people in different events and get a good workout in at the end of spring break in a competition setting," said UAB head coach Ray Stanfield.
UAB will compete against 10 schools, including in-state rivals South Alabama, Alabama State, Alabama A&M, Jacksonville State, Bevill State and host Troy. Other schools competing include Columbus State, Jackson State, Lipscomb and West Florida.
Competition begins at 11 a.m. with field events. Running events are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
