UAB Head Coach Mike Anderson
On snapping the team's four-game losing streak: "More than anything else, it's good to get off that losing slide. There's one thing about me that I'm always interested in and that is `W's' and `L's.' It's a lot nicer when you're on that `W' side.
On the game itself: "We played the game, I thought at our tempo at times and at there tempo at times. But, I'm happy we hung in there. We fought, we dug, we grasped and clawed and we found a way to win. We've been almost in a lot of ways recently, but tonight we finished the game and just got one on the road."
On Ernest Little's game-saving block and overall play: "Big Ernest stepped up to the plate when he had to. He had one block and it was probably the biggest blocked shot of his career thus far. He did a good job of coming out and managing through the game. As those guys sit on that bench, you never know when your opportunity to shine is going to come. He was able to come out and step up and step up in a big way. Marcus (Lewis) could not go and Ernest gave us a presence inside and against a team like Saint Louis, you've got to have somebody to get in there and mix it up."
On Donell Taylor's career-high tying night: "Boy, he stepped up. He stepped up in a big way and that's the challenge when you've got players with that ability. He has that ability and our guys are understanding that now. Take a guy like Marvett (McDonald). He has six assists tonight and some of those passes are going to Donell."
