UAB Volleyball To Host East Carolina On Friday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB volleyball team begins conference play on Oct. 1 when it will face East Carolina at 7 p.m. On Oct. 2, the Blazers battle Charlotte at 7 p.m.
The Blazers are coming off a 3-1 win over the Samford Bulldogs. UAB had 57 kills on 174 attempts and 32 errors. Cassie Ociesa lead the Blazers with 15.0 points on 12 kills and six block assists. The Blazers are 1-9 overall.
ECU is coming off a 3-2 loss to Campbell on Thursday. The Pirates are 6-9 overall and 0-3 on the road.
Charlotte has won its last 4 straight games. The 49ers visit USF on Friday before coming to Birmingham.
The Blazers' next game is against Mercer in Bartow Arena at 7 p.m.
