Blazers To Host Mississippi State Tuesday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB baseball team will host Mississippi State Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Young Memorial Field.
UAB (20-19, 7-10 Conference USA) is coming off a three-game C-USA series sweep at Charlotte over the weekend. The Blazers are currently on a six-game winning streak, including five in a row in C-USA play.
Mississippi State (26-15, 8-10 Southeastern Conference) suffered a 6-5 loss at Auburn last Sunday in Southeastern Conference play. However, the Bulldogs took two games out of the three-game set, winning the Saturday contest 9-8 and the Friday game 6-4.
UAB's new head women's basketball coach, Audra Smith, with throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the game.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 3-12, children 2 and under are admitted free and UAB students are admitted free with a valid student ID.
UAB will host No. 20 Southern Miss (30-11, 12-6 C-USA) over the weekend at Young Memorial Field. Friday, the teams square off at 7 p.m., Saturday's game begins at 2 p.m. and Sunday's first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Sunday's game will be broadcast live via the world wide web on the Blazers' official athletics website, www.uabsports.com.
