BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The UAB women's basketball team travels to Raleigh, N.C. this weekend to take on North Carolina State on Saturday, Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. in Reynolds Coliseum. The game marks the first ever meeting between the Blazers and Wolfpack.
The Blazers are coming off an 80-70 loss to Chattanooga at home on Wednesday. Sophomore guard Carmen Guzman leads UAB with 14.5 points per game. Guards Lauren Brittingham and Crystal McFadden are also averaging in double-digits this season, with Brittingham tallying 13.0 points per game and McFadden adding 11.8.
N.C. State is coming off a 65-36 victory over Seton Hall on Thursday. The Wolfpack is lead by Billie McDowell's 10.8 points per game and Tiffany Stansbury's 9.0 rebounds per game. N.C. State head coach Kay Yow is in her 30th season with the Wolfpack and earned her 600th victory at N.C. State on Thursday.
