BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB volleyball team will host Southeastern Conference foe Mississippi State Tuesday in the Blazers' home opener at Bartow Arena at 7 p.m.

In the Blazers' last outing, UAB (3-7) defeated Samford last Saturday 30-23, 22-30, 30-25, 30-18 to finish second at the Union State Bank/Samford Invitational hosted at Seibert Hall on the Samford University campus. Mississippi State (1-8) is coming off a 3-1 lost to Middle Tennessee last Saturday at the Purdue/Mortar Board Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 3-12, children 2 and under are admitted free and UAB students are admitted free with a valid student ID.
