UAB Softball Drops Two of Three in Saint Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. ---The UAB softball team dropped the final game of a three-game series to Saint Louis, 1-0, here Sunday.
The Billikens (9-8, 6-6 C-USA) scored the first and only run of the game in the fourth inning when Ashlee Heady singled to center field and scored on a RBI single hit by Kelly Reichert, giving Saint Louis the 1-0 lead.
The only Blazer hit came in the third inning when Sara Christophel smashed a double to center field. UAB (17-18, 2-7 C-USA) stranded four runners on base in the one-run loss.
UAB will be back in action on April 1 and April 2 to take on the Louisville Cardinals in a three-game series starting at 2:00 p.m.
