Baseball Team To Host Ball State In Three-Game Series

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB will host Ball State in a three-game series over the weekend at Young Memorial Field. Friday, the Blazers and Cardinals square off at 6 p.m., Saturday the teams meet at 2 p.m. and Sunday's first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
UAB is 5-0, off to its best start since the 1992 season and currently has the most wins in Conference USA. The Blazers are coming off a 7-2 victory over Birmingham-Southern last Tuesday at Young Memorial Field.
Ball State (0-0) will be opening its season this weekend. The Cardinals posted a 34-23 record, including a 17-7 Mid-American Conference slate, last season. Ball State concluded its 2002 campaign with a runner-up finish in the MAC Tournament.
Tickets for each game are $5 for adults, $2 for children ages 2-12, children under 2 are admitted free and UAB students are admitted free with a valid student ID.
