Cross Country Finishes Third In Gold Division At Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND, Ind. --- The UAB cross country team finished in third place overall in the gold division at the Notre Dame Invitational here on Friday.

Senior Amanda Kara led the Blazers with a 10th-place finish and a time of 18:35. UAB had four top-20 finishers in the event, including freshman Emry McKay who finished in 12th with a time of 18:40. Finishing out the top-20 for UAB were Elizabeth Ambrus and Jennifer Thompson, who finished in 16th and 18th, respectively.

The Blazers finished with 113 points, 17 points behind the leader, Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Next, UAB will compete at the Auburn Invitational on Oct. 10, in Auburn, Ala.
