Cross Country Opens In Nashville, Tenn.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-----The UAB cross country team will open its 2002 season this Friday, September 6 at the Belmont Opener in Nashville, Tenn. at Percy Warner Park. The meet will begin at 5:30. Other teams that will be participating in the opening meet include: Alabama, Austin Peay, Belmont, Bevill State CC, Evansville, Lipscomb, North Alabama, Southern Indiana, Tennessee State, Vanderbilt, and Western Kentucky.

UAB will have the following athletes competing: Heather Burdette (Burlington, Ontario, Canada), Amanda Kara (Decatur, Ala.), Rina Kara (Decatur, Ala.), Donna Pucke (Cincinnati, Ohio), and Emily Scarbrough (Ooltewah, Tenn.).
