Cross Country Finishes Seventh At Crimson Classic

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The UAB cross country team finished seventh out of 13 teams here Friday at the Crimson Classic Cross Country Meet.
The Blazers, running for the third consecutive week, were led by junior Amanda Kara who placed 10th in the individual standings with a time of 19:28.
UAB finished behind team champion Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Birmingham-Southern, Troy State and Southern Miss in the team standings.
Rounding out the Blazers' individuals were Heather Burdette (27th), Rina Kara (35th), Emily Scarbrough (36th) and Donna Pucke (51st).
UAB will take next week off from competition before resuming meet action Oct. 5 at the Rhodes Invitational in Nashville, Tenn.
