BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB volleyball team will hold an inter-squad scrimmage Monday at Bartow Arena from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. The scrimmage will be held in a regular match format and will give the public a first look at the 2002 Blazer team. Admission to the scrimmage is free.
"Our main purpose in having an open practice is to be able to invite more of the community in to meet our team and have an understanding of what Division I volleyball is about," said head coach Melinda Claiborne. "We have invited all the local high schools and middle schools to come in and get a taste of what a collegiate practice is like, but also to see and meet the team and ecourage them to come out and support us during the season."
The team will be signing 2002 UAB volleyball posters following the scrimmage.
