Women's Golf Announces One Signee

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ----- The University of Alabama at Birmingham women's golf team announced the signing of Martha Hudson as its lone signee of the early signing period. Hudson is set to begin playing for the Lady Blazers in the Fall of 2003. It also marked the first recruit signed by first-year women's golf head coach Kim Wilcox.
"I think Martha is a perfect fit for UAB and the women's golf program," Wilcox said. "She is an excellent student and she hits the ball long and straight. We are looking forward to her joining the team."
Hudson is from Black Mountain, N.C. where she is a senior at Charles D. Owen High School where is was a four-year letterwinner. She will be interested in going into the field of communications while attending UAB.
