Volleyball Falls To Samford

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - UAB (6-2) fell to Samford (2-7) 30-21, 30-29, 30-23 tonight in volleyball action at Seibert Hall.

Junior right side hitter Kristi Lee led UAB with 10 kills and seven digs. Junior setter/outside hitter Dina Katsoulis added 32 assists and 11 digs for the Blazers.

Senior outside hitter Whitney Miller paced the Bulldogs with 13 kills, eight digs and four blocks. Sophomore setter Krista Kettering posted 44 assists and nine digs for Samford.

The loss broke a five-match winning streak for UAB.

UAB returns home to Bartow Arena Friday to open Conference USA play against Memphis (8-0) at 7 p.m.
