Volleyball Falls To Georgia At Outback Steakhouse Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. - The UAB volleyball team (1-1) to fell to Georgia (2-0) 30-23, 30-18, 28-30, 30-19 at the Outback Steakhouse Invitational held on the campus of the University of Georgia.

Senior outside hitter Shelly Greene led the way for UAB, posting 20 kills, a .333 hitting percentage and 11 digs. Freshman setter Jessica Liptak added 45 assists.

The Bulldogs were led by Erin Gornes, who had 21 kills, hit for .515 and had eight digs, and Kilee Goetz, who had 61 assists.

UAB will take on Eastern Kentucky at 4:30 p.m. (ET).
