Volleyball Falls To South Florida 3-0

TAMPA, Fla. - South Florida (9-4, 3-1 Conference USA) defeated UAB (6-7, 0-5 C-USA) 30-20, 30-16, 30-23 in Conference USA volleyball action at the Corral.
Junior right side hitter Kristi Lee led the Blazers with 12 kills and eight digs. Sophomore middle blocker Karen Boyd posted 11 kills, hit for .429 and had two total blocks, and junior setter/outside hitter Dina Katsoulis added 37 assists for the Blazers.
South Florida was led by junior outside hitter Michelle Collier who had 17 kills, eight service aces and six digs. Junior outside hitter Jolene Patton had 10 kills, hit for .300 and had seven digs, while junior setter Alessandra Domingos posted 37 assists for the Bulls.
UAB returns home to Bartow Arena Thursday to face Arkansas at 7 p.m.
