CINCINNATI (AP) - Deontey Kenner passed for 351 yards and two touchdowns and Ray Jackson rushed for 82 yards and a score as Cincinnati beat UAB 33-21 on Saturday.
Kenner's 7-yard touchdown pass to Tye Keith and Jackson's 1-yard TD run gave the Bearcats (5-4, 3-2 Conference USA) a 17-0 lead midway through the second quarter.
Avery Warner returned a fumble 21 yards for a touchdown to pull UAB (6-3, 2-3) to 20-7 with 14:40 left in the third quarter. But Kenner threw a 23-yard scoring pass to Robert Drewery on Cincinnati's next possession.
Drewery caught four passes for 94 yards and Keith had four catches for 89 yards. Jonathan Ruffin kicked field goals of 22, 23, 38 and 37 yards for the Bearcats.
Jeff Aaron completed 17 of 34 passes for 183 yards with two interceptions. He threw a 9-yard TD pass to Kenny Borders late in the fourth quarter, and scored on a 2-yard run in the third.
