UAB Falls To Southern Miss

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The UAB volleyball team (5-10, 0-3 in Conference USA) fell to Southern Mississippi (6-8, 1-3 in Conference USA) 15-9, 15-7, 13-15, 15-4 in Conference USA action.
Senior right side hitter Kristen Pettey had 14 kills, hit for .346 and had five digs to lead the Blazers while senior setter Heather Dempsey added 28 assists.
UAB now travels to New Orleans, La. to take on Conference USA rival Tulane Saturday at 7 p.m.
