Averaged 20.9 points per game in his senior year of high school while leading College Achieve to an NJSIAA Group I State Title. Poured in 28 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and four steals.

Averaged 22 points per game as a sophomore at Trenton Catholic
Transferred to St. Thomas Aquinas for his junior season, Jones averaged 16 points and six assists per game and eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for his high school career under the direction of head coach Bob Turco.

Personal

Son of Mike Jones, who played at Rutgers, and nephew of Gary Jones, played for the Explorers from 1982-87 and was a part of the 1986-87 team that advanced to the finals of the National Invitation Tournament at Madison Square Garden.
