Peterson, 24, spent the 2022 season as the Assistant Director of Football Operations and Assistant to the Head Coach at Indiana, working alongside the Hoosier’s Head Coach Tom Allen.
Prior to Indiana, Peterson was the youngest Director of Football Operations in college football when he served in that role at his Alma Mater, Youngstown State, in 2021. Peterson handled all aspects of the YSU football program, and worked for head coaches Bo Pelini and Doug Philips during his time there.

Peterson returns to UAB after spending 2012-13 in Birmingham when his dad, John, was the Blazers’ offensive line coach. Peterson also spent time at Akron and Pitt before attending Youngstown State.
