Bio
AS A JUNIOR (2022):
Appeared in four games.
AS A SOPHOMORE AT JONES CC (2020):
Played in all five games during a COVID-shortened season...graded out a season-high 94 percent vs. Southwest...named All-MACCC First Team...Coach Grant Garner says of Yates, "Extremely long, great hands, heavy hands. Once he gets his hands on you in the run game or pass game, it’s over. Extremely productive player. If he can clean up his technique he will be dominant. Definitely a cornerstone of the offensive line and very dependable."
AS A FRESHMAN AT JONES CC (2019):
Played in all 10 games at tackle...Second Team All-MACJC...helped pave the way for the league's top rusher in FSU signee La'Damian Webb...OL coach Grant Garner on Yates: wants to be great, very coachable, a leader, has long arms, great feet, a high football IQ...two-time member of the school's honor roll.
High School: Played for head coach Tim McNair at Crystal Springs...offensive and defensive tackle...helped the Tigers to a 7-5 finish as a senior...credited with 114 tackles.
