Jason Jones enters his fourth season as the Assistant Director of Sports Performance for the UAB Football program.
Jones has been with the program since 2020 and during his time with the Blazers, UAB has won one Conference USA Championship (2020) and two bowl games (2021 Independence Bowl, 2022 Bahamas Bowl).
Prior to joining UAB, Jones spent 2015-2019 at the University of Alabama. He was an intern on the strength staff in 2015-16, and then spent three seasons (2017-19) as the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning for the women’s basketball program.
In the summer of 2019, he earned the Bill Walsh internship with the Green Bay Packers.
Jones was a walk-on for the Crimson Tide football team in 2013. He graduated from Alabama in 2015 with a degree in Human Environment Sciences and earned his Master’s degree in Sports Business Management from Alabama in 2019.
He is Cscca-SCCC, USAW and CPR/AED certified.
