Redshirt sophomore defensive lineman Chris Burge returns to the Blazers with his valuable experience after appearing in all 12 games during the 2025 season. The Alabama native recorded 32 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and 7 quarterback hurries while continuing to establish himself as a disruptive presence along the UAB's defensive front.
As Burge gears up for another season representing his home state with the Blazers, we got to learn more about him with these five questions.
Q: What advice could you give to youth athletes in the Birmingham area?
A: Have fun with it, live your life and don't be too stressed out because you won't be playing football forever.
Q: Which uniform combination is your favorite to wear?
A: The all white, it makes us stand out.
Q: How meaningful is it for you to have family and friends so local to attend games?
A: It is very special because I feel like I am feeding off of their energy.
Q: What is your favorite warm up or pregame song?
A: Bloody Nights, Games of War, & War With Us by NBA Youngboy- any Youngboy song, really.
Q: What is your go-to gas station order?
A: The big bag of blue Takis, Trolli gummies, and a blue Calypso.
