BIRMINGHAM - UAB men's basketball head coach Andy Kennedy has announced the addition of transfer guard Deuce Jones from Saint Joeseph's.
"Pumped to have Deuce Jones join Blazer Basketball," Kennedy said. "Deuce is a very talented guard who's experience in the A10 will enable him to come to our program & make an immediate impact. Deuce is an explosive scorer who can also facilitate & create opportunities for his teammates with his playmaking abilities with the ball. A dynamic athlete who is just scratching the surface of what we believe he is capable of becoming".
Jones, a 6-foot-2 guard from Trenton, N.J., spent the past season at Saint Joseph's, appearing in 10 games. He averaged 15.8 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per contest.
Prior to that, Jones played the 2024–25 season at La Salle, where he appeared in all 33 games for the Explorers, making 20 starts. He averaged 12.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.
Jones earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors seven times and elevated his play in conference action, averaging 14.3 points per game. He scored in double figures in 20 contests and surpassed the 20-point mark seven times, including a career-high 27 points against Saint Joseph's on March 8.
At the high school level, Jones played at College Achieve Charter and St. Thomas Aquinas, where he eclipsed 1,000 career points.
He becomes the sixth addition to UAB's 2026 signing class, joining high school prospects Jakobi Sharp and Korie Corbett, junior college transfers Tim Holliday and Shah Hall, and Division I transfer Jeremy Elyzee.
