Blazers Travel to Atlanta for the Diggin' Duals

BLAZERS TRAVEL TO ATLANTA FOR THE DIGGIN' DUALS: UAB returns to action this weekend in Atlanta at the Diggin' Duals, hosted by Georgia State. The Blazers will face Mercer (4-16) and North Alabama (13-9) on Friday, followed by host Georgia State (12-12) and South Florida (15-5) on Saturday. UAB will face North Alabama for the third time this season and South Florida for the second consecutive week.
BIG WEEKEND AT THE STAMPEDE BEACH OPENER: UAB completed a perfect weekend at the Stampede Beach Opener, hosted by South Florida in Clearwater. The Blazers went 4-0, sweeping Stephen F. Austin and UTEP and defeating Sacramento State and host South Florida, 4-1. The wins over UTEP and South Florida improved UAB's Conference USA record to 3-0.
CHYCHRUN AND KNOTT SELECTED AS CUSA PAIR OF THE WEEK: Conference USA announced Tuesday that the duo of Olivia Chychrun and Ava Grace Knott was selected as the conference's Pair of the Week. Chychrun and Knott turned in a perfect weekend at the Stampede Beach Opener, going 4-0 on Court 3 and winning all eight sets across four matches. The pair improved to a team-best 20-5 on the season, including three wins over ranked opponents. This marks the second Pair of the Week honor for the Blazers in 2026, with Lauren Cairo and Claudia Stockard earning the recognition on March 3.
BLAZERS STILL KNOCKING ON TOP 20 DOOR...: UAB received seven votes in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll, marking the third time this season the Blazers have been on the verge of cracking the Top 20. Six UAB opponents are currently ranked, including two the Blazers have defeated. UAB has never been ranked in program history.
CHYCHRUN AND KNOTT MAKING A MARK ON THE RECORD BOOKS: The duo of Olivia Chychrun and Ava Grace Knott continues to make its mark on the UAB record books. Chychrun recorded her 20th career victory on Court 3, setting a UAB record for wins on that court, while Knott's 20th win tied the program's freshman single-season record.
