Men's Basketball Adds Three-Star Recruit Korie Corbett

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UAB men's basketball head coach Andy Kennedy announced his signing of incoming freshman and three-star recruit Korie Corbett.
"Fired up to have Korie as a Blazer," head coach Andy Kennedy said. A winner whose versatility as a 6'5 guard will allow him to impact the game in a multitude of ways. Won back-to-back State Championships in his home state of South Carolina before finishing his prep career at the historic Oak Hill Academy. We love his work ethic and the approach he brings to the game".
The Columbia S.C., native won two state championships at Ridge View High School where he averaged 16 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.6 steals during his junior season. He was named 5A player of the year during his junior season which propelled him to transfer to basketball powerhouse Oak Hill Academy in Virginia.
The 6-foot-5 guard had offers from South Carolina, Ole Miss, Charleston Southern, and Nevada, but chose to play for head coach Andy Kennedy and the Blazers.
Corbett becomes the third addition to the Blazers' 2026 class, joining high school recruit Jakobi Sharp and JUCO signee Shah Hall.
2026-27 Men's Basketball Season Tickets
In January 2026, UAB Athletics made men's basketball season tickets available leading into the Bartow Arena renovations. The pricing and allocation details are included here along with a timeline of important dates to know prior to the 2026-27 basketball season. Fans will select their specific ticket locations during the UAB Basketball priority seating and parking selection process which begins in July of 2026 following a June 30, 2026, basketball priority seat deadline.
