The BlazersΒ (7-6)Β are part of a competitiveΒ field that includes nationally ranked competition.Β HostΒ StetsonΒ (10-4)Β is currently ranked No. 15 in this week'sΒ AVCAΒ Coaches Poll. Florida Gulf CoastΒ (6-6), Texas A&M-Corpus ChristiΒ (5-5)Β and Southern MissΒ (3-9)Β round out UAB's tournament opponents. ROSE TIES ALL-TIME WINS RECORD:Β With a win on day two of the LBSU Invite against Cal State Bakersfield,Β head coachΒ Delaney Rose earned her 47thΒ careerΒ victory atΒ UAB, pullingΒ her into a tie with Terri Del Conte for theΒ program'sΒ all-time lead in wins. Rose is currently in her third seasonΒ as head coach ofΒ the BlazersΒ afterΒ guiding theΒ team to a program-best 21 wins in 2025.Β Β
CHYCHRUN AND KNOTTΒ EARNΒ RANKED VICTORY:Β Although UAB dropped a match to No. 11 Long Beach State last weekend at the LBSU Invite, Olivia Chychrun and Ava Grace KnottΒ picked up a straight-setΒ victoryΒ on Court 4. The win improvedΒ their record as a duo to 9-4 on the season, tied for the bestΒ markΒ on the team with Jasmine Haas and Olivia Stant.Β Β
