American Conference Weekly Honors: Cali Smallwood

BIRMINGHAM – Cali Smallwood was named to the American Conference weekly awards for her performance at Wichita State.
Smallwood earned honorable mention after a 25-point performance in UAB's first conference win of the season. She led the Blazers for the seventh time this season with her 25 points. Smallwood was 7-for-12 from the three, which was a career-high in made threes, and went 8-for-13 from the field. She has collected 20-plus points four times this season.
The Blountsville, Ala., native leads the team in points per game with 14.6. After Smallwood's performance at Wichita State, she ranks fourth in the NCAA in three-pointers per game (3.1) and 25th in three-point percentage (.419) and leads the American Conference in both categories.
