Riley Miller Secures American Conference Pitcher of the Week Award

BIRMINGHAM – UAB Baseball RHP Riley Miller secures the first Pitcher of the Week honor of the season, the conference office announced on Monday. It is the first time Miller has won the award in his career.
In his first career appearance on Friday night, Miller entered the game in a 7-7 tie against the No. 13 Florida Gators. The redshirt freshman right-hander from Athens, Alabama pitched the final three innings, surrendered two hits and one walk, struck out one, did not allow a run, and picked up his first career win.
Miller and the Blazers hit the road on Tuesday to play North Alabama before hosting Cincinnati for four games Feb. 19-22.
