BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB Men's Basketball team (16-10, 7-6 American) lost to Tulane (15-10, 6-6 American) 54-55 in a Sunday afternoon game in Bartow Arena. In a low-scoring game, UAB was led by Evan Chatman with his third straight double-double (12 points and 13 rebounds) followed by Daniel Rivera with his double-double (12 points and 11 rebounds). Dayjaun Anderson scored 16 points for the Blazers.

Tulane was led by Rowan Brumbaugh who scored 17 points and recorded 8 rebounds. The team as a whole shot 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.

Game Notes

Salim London is back in the starting line-up for the first time since January 28 against UTSA.
Daniel Rivera started his 25th game this season. He has started every single game except for Feb. 5 against Memphis.
London with his 34 minutes against Tulane passed 500 minutes played in his freshman season.

Tulane scored the first points of the afternoon on a fast break layup by Tyler Ringgold [0-2].
Anderson started the Blazers off hot with a three-pointer and a dunk to extend the UAB lead to six. Anderson made his first three shots of the game [12-9].
Tulane hit back-to-back threes to kick start an 8-0 run. Tulane started the game 5-of-10 from three-point range [15-21].
UAB made three field goals in the last 14:31 of the first half, creating a game-high lead of 15 for Tulane [19-34].
Rivera scored his 300th point as a Blazer with under two minutes to go in the half.
Asher Woods led with a game high of 11 points at halftime as UAB trailed 36 -26. UAB closed the half on a 7-2 run.
Chatman hit two free throws to cut the lead to eight with 17 minutes left [30-38].
Anderson hit his 3rd three-pointer of the game to cut the lead to six with 13:04 remaining [37-43].
UAB went on a 7-0 run where three Blazers scored, and the lead was cut to four (the lowest mark since the 10:13 mark in the first half).
