UAB’s Home-Court Struggles Continue with Loss to Tulane

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB Men's Basketball team (16-10, 7-6 American) lost to Tulane (15-10, 6-6 American) 54-55 in a Sunday afternoon game in Bartow Arena. In a low-scoring game, UAB was led by Evan Chatman with his third straight double-double (12 points and 13 rebounds) followed by Daniel Rivera with his double-double (12 points and 11 rebounds). Dayjaun Anderson scored 16 points for the Blazers.
Tulane was led by Rowan Brumbaugh who scored 17 points and recorded 8 rebounds. The team as a whole shot 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.

- UAB went on a 7-0 run where three Blazers scored, and the lead was cut to four (the lowest mark since the 10:13 mark in the first half).

- Evan Chatman scored his 10th point of the afternoon with 9:21 remaining in the game. This marked the third Blazer to score double-digits in the game (Anderson and Rivera) [41-46].
- Anderson tied his career high of three made three-point shots in a game, hitting his fourth to take the first lead since 17:00 left in the first half [50-52].
- UAB made one shot in the last five minutes of the game. UAB missed their last 11 field goals until a tip-in by Evan Chatman as time expired.

- UAB is on the road again to Philadelphia, Pa., on Wednesday, Feb. 18, against Temple. Tipoff against the Owls is set for 6:00 p.m. CT. on ESPNU.
