No. 6 Clemson Runs Past Blazers

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's soccer team (0-2-0) dropped a game at No. 6 Clemson (2-0-1) by a final score of 6-0.
Clemson was the first on the board in the 17th minute by Yoshizawa. He headed the ball after a save by goalkeeper Tom Mabon. The Tigers had seven shots in the first 20 minutes compared to just one for the Blazers.
The Tigers scored three more goals in the span of 13 minutes from 39-52. The goals were scored by Olafur Stephensen, Ransford Gyan, and Nathan Richmond. Nathan Richmond scored a goal off of a short corner play that saw the ball go into the bottom left corner.
UAB did get quite a few chances in the first few minutes of the second half. Vivaldini made Andema make two fantastic saves in goal.
Clemson finished the scoring with a goal in the 76th and 79th minute. Ransford Gyan and Wahabu Musah were the goal scorers. Final score: UAB 0, Clemson 6.
UAB played eighteen guys tonight including Han Jiwon getting his first minutes of the season.
