Four Game Times Announced for UAB Football

BIRMINGHAM – In conjunction with ESPN and CBS, the American Athletic Conference has announced game times for UAB Football's first three contests of 2025, along with a late season non-conference game at UConn.
UAB's first two home games on Thursday, Aug. 28 against Alabama State and Saturday, Sept. 13 vs. Akron at Protective Stadium will both kick at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN+.
Additionally, UAB's Week 2 conference game at Navy on Sept. 6 is slated for 2:30 p.m. CT on CBS Sports Network, while the Blazers will face UConn at 11 a.m. CT on Nov. 1 in East Hartford on CBS Sports Network.
The opener against Alabama State will be the fourth straight year kicking off the season on Thursday and the seventh time in the last eight years opening on a Thursday.
The Week 3 contest against Akron is the second game of a home-and-home series which dates back to 2019 when the Blazers defeated the Zips 31-20 in Ohio. The return game in Birmingham was supposed to be in 2020 but it was rescheduled for this season.
UAB's remaining kick times, beginning with a Week 4 contest at Tennessee, will be announced 12 days prior to each game as the season progresses.
The American Athletic Conference Football Championship Game will air on ABC on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. CT. It will be the 11th consecutive season that The American Championship will be televised on ABC.

UAB Football group tickets and fan experience packages will be available Monday, June 2 for the upcoming season. Discounted group tickets and fan experience packages are available starting today for a minimum purchase of 15 tickets, and fan experiences at Protective Stadium are available on a first come, first served basis during the 2025 season.
